Preparation:
Blend all the ingredients until smooth using a countertop blender or hand blender.
Strain the mixture through a funnel and fine-mesh sieve into a 0.5 L whipper. Charge it with one whipper charger, then shake vigorously six to eight times.
Refrigerate the whipper for at least 30 minutes. Shake it vigorously again before first use.
Creamy, flavourful and with a subtle hint of pumpkin, this hummus brings variety to the table and pairs well with a range of dishes. Serve it as an apéritif dip, as part of a mezze platter or alongside vegetables and warm dishes. With the right sides and toppings, you can give it a fresh new twist every time.
For dipping and snacking
Serve the pumpkin hummus with crispy flatbread, pita or crackers. Fresh vegetable sticks such as cucumber, carrots, bell peppers and celery add a crisp contrast. Roasted sweet potato pieces or crispy oven-baked chips also pair well with its creamy texture.
As part of an apéritif or mezze platter
Pumpkin hummus goes well with olives, pickled vegetables and small pieces of cheese on a mezze platter. Add flatbread, nuts and fresh herbs to create a varied spread with complementary flavours and textures.
As a side for warm dishes
The hummus pairs well with roasted vegetables, pan-fried tofu or halloumi. You can also serve it as a creamy component in a bowl. Add grains such as couscous or quinoa and a little fresh salad for a versatile meal. It also provides a flavourful contrast to grilled meat or vegetables.
Finish with delicious toppings
For extra crunch, add roasted pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds or chopped nuts. Fresh herbs such as parsley or coriander bring a herbal note. Before serving, drizzle with a little olive oil or sprinkle with paprika or cumin to round out the flavour and tailor the hummus to your taste.
