    iSi chargers can only be used with iSi appliances. You can’t use an iSi charger in a Kisag whipper because the systems work differently – iSi chargers screw into place, whereas Kisag chargers slot into place.

    Each charger contains exactly 7.5 g of pure nitrous oxide (N2O). This is a colourless gas from the nitrogen oxide family.

    Kisag chargers have an indefinite shelf life. The best before date on the box simply guarantees that the charger will definitely contain the full amount of gas up until the stated date. If you store the chargers for longer than the stated date, it’s possible that some of the gas may evaporate.

    If used correctly, the chargers are completely safe.

    Cream whipper

    If you keep the lid screwed tight on your whipper and store it in your fridge under ideal hygiene conditions, long-life cream will stay fresh inside it for up to 10 days.

    No. The gas cannot escape from the whipper. In such cases, just give the whipper a couple more shakes.

    Before you unscrew the lid of the whipper, squirt out any remaining gas or cream (ideally into your kitchen sink).

    Make sure the whipper is no longer under pressure. Now unscrew the nozzle and the lid of the whipper. Remove the sealing ring from the lid of the whipper. Now clean the nozzle using warm water and the brush supplied in the original packaging, and rinse out the whipper. Now you can place everything in the dishwasher. Attention: some parts on some models are not dishwasher safe! The following models are completely dishwasher safe: Kisag Whipper CREATIVE 0.25l and 0.5l, Kisag Whipper Classic, Kisag Whipper Professional 0.5l and 1 liter, Kisag Thermo Whipper 0.5l and iSi Thermo XPress Whip.

    If the whipper is still pressurised, proceed with caution when unscrewing the lid. We recommend you go outside to unscrew the lid, or cover the whipper with an old towel or cloth and unscrew it over your kitchen sink. The contents are likely to spurt out if the whipper is still pressurised when you open the lid. Now clean the valve spindle and start again. Use a fine-mesh sieve to prevent the valve spindle from getting blocked.

    This can potentially block the nozzle. To prevent this from happening, always purée foods first and press them through the Kisag funnel & sieve.

    We advise you not to do so, because the whipper is highly pressurised. If you use force to unscrew the lid when the whipper is still pressurised, any contents still remaining inside the whipper are likely to squirt out with great force and make a big mess! In addition, there is always a risk of injury if you don’t follow the instructions when opening the whipper. In case of doubt, please contact our customer service team at kisag@kisag.ch.

    This depends on the model. The following whippers are completely dishwasher safe: Kisag Whipper CREATIVE 0.25l und 0.5l, Kisag Whipper Classic, Kisag Whipper Professional 0.5l and 1l, Kisag Thermo Whipper 0.5l and iSi Thermo XPress Whip. For all other models, only the container itself is dishwasher safe.

    In principle, yes. However, some older whippers may not be compatible.

    This is to keep the product safe during transport.

    You probably aren’t holding the whipper vertically downwards when you squirt. The contents can’t enter the valve spindle if the angle is wrong.

    The tank is full as soon as liquid gas spurts out. To be extra safe, do the “finger test” once you’ve finished to make sure no gas is seeping out. To perform a finger test, moisten your finger and press down gently on the valve. If you feel pressure building up, this means the valve is probably no longer leakproof and you should not use the burner. In such cases, please contact our customer service team at kisag@kisag.ch

    For your safety when using the safety gas burner, please read and follow the safety instructions in the manual.

    Yes, you can. However, you should always be very careful when doing so because the tip of the burner will be hot if you’ve just been using it. Further, you should make sure you perform this task on a heatproof surface.

    Make sure you always use the safety gas burner together with an open fondue burner and in a well-ventilated room.

    Clean your fondue burner by hand. Do not use strong detergents.

    We recommend you completely refill the gas chamber before each use.

    We recommend KISAG all-purpose gas.

    The filling procedure is very simple. First, close the burner valve, then rotate the burner (the burner tank should have cooled completely). Now, press the KIGAS gas can straight downwards into the filling valve. The gas is fed into the tank with a hissing noise. Once the gas starts to overflow in liquid form, the tank is full. Finally, for safety purposes, quickly check with your finger to make sure that no gas is escaping.

    The answer lies in science: the hotter the safety gas burner, the more the gas in the tank expands, which in turn makes the flame get stronger.

    Yes, in principle. However, this will depend on how strong the wind is. Do not enclose the safety gas burner in a home-made windshield, because this could cause it to overheat.

    In general, a yellow flame indicates that the tank of the safety gas burner is too full. Leave the safety gas burner on until the excess gas has escaped and the flame turns blue again.

    Safety gas burners are much easier to adjust than paste burners. In addition, paste burners start off at a relatively low heat but get hotter and hotter as time passes. When you use a safety gas burner, you can adjust the temperature with extreme precision from start to finish. In addition, gas burners are more powerful.

    There are different blades you can use, depending on what you want to peel. The gap between the blades on a classic peeler is very narrow, allowing you to peel foods very finely. You can also get special peelers for vegetables with very thin or smooth skin/peel (e.g., tomatoes, bell peppers, ginger, kiwi fruit, pepperoni etc). If you want to cut fruit or veg into fine strips, you can use a julienne peeler.

    They are very pliable, which means you can use them to get the very last bits of food out of pots and pans etc. Silicone kitchen aids are very gentle on your pots and pans.

    No. You should never perform your own repairs and maintenance on a hand blender. Please contact our customer service team at kisag@kisag.ch.

    Hand blenders are ideal for mashing, mixing and whipping up soups, cream, fruit sauces, creamy sauces, pesto, salsa, hummus, vinaigrettes, smoothies, mayonnaise and more.

    Make sure the head of the mixer doesn’t get too wet when you clean it. Clean all the other parts by hand with warm water and a little washing-up liquid.

    Do not turn the hand blender on until it’s inside the bowl. Always unplug the hand blender before replacing blunt blades.

    Unplug the appliance. Remove the old blade and insert the new blade.

    This depends on what you use your hand blender for.

    You can purée foods directly in the pan or serving bowl and don’t need to transfer them to another dish afterwards. In addition, hand blenders are more powerful.

    If a Kisag product is without defect, it must be new (unused) and in its original packaging in order to qualify for an exchange or refund. It must have been bought in the online shop within the last 14 days. The receipt must be enclosed. The customer shall pay the postage fees for returning the product. Notification for returns should be sent using the returns and warranty form under www.kisag.ch/returns-and-warranty. If the criteria for a refund are not met, Kisag is entitled to refuse to accept the return. The purchase price for accepted returns will be refunded via the same payment channel that was used for the purchase.
