Preparation

Cut the apples into slices approx. 0.5-0.9 cm thick and remove the core.

Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar on a plate and coat the apple rings well on both sides.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, cut into strips approx. 2 cm thick and wrap each apple ring with 1 strip.

Coat the apple rings with egg yolk and toss them again in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Then place the rings on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the middle of the oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for approx. 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Remove the apple rings from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then dust with icing sugar. Vanilla cream goes very well with the apple rings.
