It wasn't so long ago that we had to crush and purée pastes, soups and the like by hand. That was before Swiss inventor Roger Perrinjaquet came up with the hand blender and registered it at the patent office in 1950. Since then, the portable kitchen appliance has made life easier for many hobby chefs.

The 550 watt motor is very powerful and can purée thoroughly and evenly without leaving large chunks behind. With up to 17,000 revolutions per minute, this hand blender can also process fruit and vegetables such as baby carrots, nuts, onions and even flesh without any trouble at all.

There are two speed settings available and you can conveniently switch between these with just one hand. The rubberised handle has an ergonomic shape and allows you to keep a firm grip, even if you are using the blender for a longer period of time. The 4 m power cable guarantees adequate freedom of movement. And as the hand blender has special seals, is made almost entirely of stainless steel, and the wand and base were produced from a single piece, no food residues can get stuck or find their way into the mixing mechanism. This means that all you need to do to clean it is rinse it with some warm water directly after use. And then, the hand blender is ready for its next use!
